Here is the detailed info on the Scrambler. Doesn't look like it will be sold in the US, though....

Moto Morini Scrambler Military Green
Moto Morini was once dead and sold to a company established by two Italian entrepreneurs in 2011. After releasing a few sport bike models and a scrambler
Moto Morini engineers have designed these models equipping them with a package of accessories - "Human and Machine Components" that enrich the bike and are discounted from the final price. What the heck is human components? They are just apparels with MotoMorini logos on them-
The first proposal is a Scrambler 1200 Military Green which is offered at a price of € 10,900 (approx. $14900) with a package of Human and Machine Components as a gift equal to a savings of more than € 2000. I don't know if I should take this offer as a desperate marketing measure or not, but it seems still on pricey side... I have to admit that as a military vehicle fan, this scrambler is much more attractive to me. They claim that it is the most powerful scrambler. It is probably true, since it is basically the same power plant with their sport bike, CORSARO 1200 VELOCE. As a small recently revived motorcycle company, I don't think they had enough resources to invest on different motors... The Scrambler 1200 Military Green is sold with a warranty of 2 years in the green / black / black and chrome, equipped with Metzeler Karoo T tires and a wide range of accessories available in the kit of Machine Components and Human Components.
Kit of Machine Components include: side cap chrome cylinder, clutch cover chrome, 2x chrome head cover, flywheel cover chrome, saddle brown leather handbag brown bag attachment kit, cup motor protection, front grille Cowl. By the way, its claimed horse power is 117, while their sport bike, Corsaro 1200 claims 140hp.

Sponsors
"French
rider Hugo Payen was sponsored by a French 'adult film' producer for
this year's Dakar, resulting in an unusual paint job...!"
Via: MCN
A few years ago, a socialite, Pris Hilton sponsored Moto3 team, which its bikes ended with full of baby blue, baby pink and stars paint job. Many of motorsports fans complained, calling the bikes Barbie bikes. I never understood the mentality of it. Sponsors are sponsors; they are giving you valuable resources to race. So who cares? If they are giving me money to race, I don't care if the sponsor is selling penis enlarger, feminine hygiene products, or adult diaper. Better than not being able to afford a part.

Isle of Man TT tribute Video by MentalEducation
It is a nicely put together video. But once you realize the BGM is one of Matrix soundtracks, it gets bit annoying the parts slo-mo matching with the music in my opinion...I still prefer listening to real exhaust notes.

Motorcycle Trolling Pedestrians Compilation
Nice sound. I bet it is real loud in person. It is funny for the first time to watch this vid, but the rider is a bit of dick.

Trotify
Reminded me of a Monty Python movie. I wonder how much of speed it can withstand. Love to see it on steroid up Lance Armstrong's bike

Brutus the useless SUV of motorcycle
Alessandro Tartarini, son of Italjet founder Leopoldo Tartarini, presented a new concept motorcycle at the EICMA motorcycle show.
The bike is named Brutus and claimed to be the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) of motorcycles. Haha!!
Brutus is equipped with a 45 bhp, DOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled 750cc engine with electronic fuel injection and "two-speed" CVT with optional reverse gear. The motor itself is from typical off road bike, but the weight is 220kg, which is in the same class with Ducati Multistrada, BMW 1200 GS. Yeah, just like most luxury SUV, this bike seems to be useless in off road. And according to Gizmag, its suspension travel is like the half of the typical adventure tourers'. (3 inches at the front and 4 inches at the rear). Also the big rims and wheels provide nothing but adding extra weight and looks.
The press release for Brutus suggests it has been designed "outside the box and beyond fashion and sterile market analyses" Sounds like an excuse of making shitty unusable custom bike. Well, rich man's hobby, I guess. Nice to have tons money you can waste.

Electric Vehicles Buyer's Guide
I like it to be green but those cars are still expensive to buy compared to gas-powered cars of the same class. Honda Fit and Mitsubishi i are considered as Kei cars in Japan so I know many US drivers are gonna think unsafe,

Red Cup Wine Glasses
"Do you feel like a sell out because you like to enjoy a nice glass of chardonnay every once in awhile? Your vino just tastes better when you drink it from a wine glass but your buddies give you a hard time because you’ve given up your classic plastic red cup and you look like you're trying to be one of them high class, hoytie toytie folk!
Next time you uncork a nice bottle of wine, drink it out of our Red Cup Wine Glass Set and keep up your rugged, party goer image. The red cup has always been your friend so include it in your vintage Bordeaux experience as well!
Set of 2. Ceramic. Each measures 8 inches tall x 3.75 inches in diameter."
Via: perpetual kid
This is one of the stupidest products I have ever seen. Your buddy gives you a shit because you don't use freaking disposable wasteful plastic cups? That is not your buddy in my book. When did using a proper glass become hoytie toytie? Those guys eat out of plastic Yu-Gi-Oh plates and utensils?

Bye Bye Red Brakleen
Have used CRC's Brakleen for many years. Rumor says that they are been replaced with less effective Green can of Brakleen. And many of grease moneys are already complaining about less effectiveness of new one compared to the red.
The red one contains chlorinated solvent., which known to damage the nervous system, kidneys, or liver. Some chlorinated solvents also cause cancer in both humans and animals.
And I hear people bitch and moan about government regulating those "effective" chemicals. They treat EPA as a business killer. It might be so, there are idiots and dicks in the organization as well, just like anywhere else. But you have to remember that those regulations were established because of mindless end users ( usually inconsiderate, ignorant and lazy people), who dump unwanted and dirty chemicals to storm drain. I worked for a commercial painter and my boss always dumped chemicals down in storm drain. I suggested to take them to hazardous waste. He yelled at me that he did neither have time nor gas to get there.
As you might know, other developed countries have already banned or been strictly regulating those chemicals we still use in the US. Just gotta learn to deal with it.

10 worst handling Motorcycles of all the time?

In this article, certain models of Kawasaki, Harley, Honda, Suzuki, Hasqvarna , Ariel and Greeves, Motoguzzi in general were mentioned. Some believed that the list was lacking Suzuki TM400, Yamaha V-Max, The ATC Hondas, TL1000, GL1000, and many. I have not rode most of them to determine if those mentioned were actually really bad, but I believe that it is not fair to ride one certain model of now-a-vintage bike, which differs greatly each other depending on how it has been treated, then decide whole model was all like the one you ride. One commented that 72 CB750 was one of the worsts. I am sure that he got ill maintained one, though handling was not the strongest field of the model. I read an article about a Motoguzzi fanatic, who is an expert on 60', 70's Guzzi, talking about how each bike were different. "variations ranges from subtle difference in paint colours to different parts on supposedly identical bikes."
I am surprised that people assume the bike's handling was bad just because they wrecked it. I guess you are supposed to ride it like you stole it as soon as you get on the saddle. I thought that you are supposed to go easy until you know bit about the bike's ability. You don't go attack corners till its limit right away, right?
Most of bikes could be a great bike if it was ridden by great riders.
Again, you can't make everyone happy. Someone always has to bitch.

Definition of Scooter

Confusing...Anyway, Piaggio Gilera GP 800 is a scooter,( motor is
placed in rear of the vehicle and there are floor boards.) but Aprilia
Mana 850 is a motorcycle to me. Even Aprilia website calls it motorcycle; it is not in Scooter section.
I could see some people have problem accepting Mana 850 as a motorcycle though. The gear system is pretty much of scooter technology, and its gas tank is located under seat like scooter's. I generally enjoy riding any 2 wheelers. I don't discriminate.

Roma Scooter
I spotted this scooter the other day (yes, it is a scooter) It is called, Roma Hornet scooter and cost you about 2 gran. if you put them together by yourself it is about 1800 bucks. The price depends on the site you pick.. There are a quite a few on-line scooter stores that sell this thing, but none of the sites really states where this thing was made. I am assuming it is from China. I guess it is targeted toward young kids who want sporty look. The bike comes with those decals. Haha I wonder Valsir,
Pirrelli, Shell and other companies know that they are secretly sponsoring this scoot...
Despite the sporty look, the power unit, 150cc 4 Stroke Single Cylinder, cranks only 7 HP and Max speed is probably less than 60mph. The front disc brake might be over kill for this beast. Sadly, review of this bike is not very good.it can be a nice toy to have it around.

Happy Friday the 13th
The fear of Friday the 13th has been called friggatriskaidekaphobia. "According to the Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in Asheville, North Carolina, an estimated 17 to 21 million people in the United States are affected by a fear of this day making it the most feared day and date in history. Some people are so paralyzed by fear that they avoid their normal routines in doing business, taking flights or even getting out of bed. "It's been estimated that [US]$800 or $900 million is lost in business on this day"
Geez. Those who are scared of the date, good luck with your life. It is like some guys avoiding green bikes, calling bad luck.

How to be a passenger on a sport bike
Not really helpful but easy on eyes. I would add just attach your body to the operator, be like a luggage in a way-don't put your foot down when the bike is stopped and watch for the hot exhaust pipe. If you are a guy and the operator is also a guy, you do not tandem unless it is emergency. Two wheels, two balls, guys.

PAL-V
"This week the Dutch company PAL-V announced the first flights of its prototype "flying car".
This unique vehicle is called the PAL-V One, or the 'Personal Air and Land Vehicle', and It marks the start of a new era.
On the ground the vehicle drives like a sports car. Within minutes its rotor is unfolded and its tail is extended: then it is ready to take off thanks to the advanced gyrocopter technology.
With these successful test results it is proven that it is not only possible to build a flying car but also that it can be done within existing international rules for both flying and driving.
Having passed this important milestone the company is now inviting investors to join them in creating the future.
The next step will be the design of the first commercial production model of the PAL-V, and first deliveries are expected in 2014.
For 100 years people have dreamed of a flying car, and many attempts have been made to realize this dream, but now it has truly become a reality."
Pal-V.com
It has three wheels so I think it should be called Flying trike. I am sure that some country would considered in as motorcycle. Flying trike...Rhymes with framing dyke.
I can't wait to see all the crazy text messaging short-attention span drivers up on the air.

The truth about the Making of Mad Max article
I don't care what you think but in my hubmble opinion, Mad Max is probably the the best biker movie ever. Yes, I know the bikers are not the leading characters, the pre-nuts and handsome Mel Gibson's character, Max Rockatansky is, but the character's buddy, motorcycle cop, Jim Goose, and the evil biker gangs lead by Toecutter who Max had to face in the story were the real toppings of the movie. There are many Jim Goose and Toecutter fans and number of replica bikes of theirs are made. Maybe more so than replicas of the Interceptor that Max was driving.
The other day, I found this article about the making of Mad Max. As a record, I decided to upload it here. Click on the images to enlarge. Or right click view image to enlarge.

The world's most expensive quad bike
It may looks impressive! But the world’s most expensive quad bike can’t even be driven on the road. Manufacturers Lazareth say that the Wazuma V8 is so powerful it is purely a track-only vehicle. It features a 250bhp 30L V8 Ferrari engine and BMW M3 handlebars with the "6 speed sequential gearbox controlled from the handlebars", Brembo brake, and custom made shocks. The Wazuma V8 has a top speed of 241km/h.(over 150mph) The machine can be yours for a huge price tag of €200,000 ($265,000)
More than quarter mil for this isn't impressive to me. It sure look beautiful but I think I would get a couple neat bikes and donate the rest of the money to some charity if I had to waste this much of money.
