A few years ago,  a socialite, Pris Hilton sponsored Moto3 team, which its bikes ended with full of baby blue, baby pink and stars paint job. Many of motorsports fans complained, calling the bikes Barbie bikes. I never understood the mentality of it. Sponsors are sponsors; they are giving you  valuable resources to race.  So who cares?  If they are giving me money to race, I don't care if the sponsor is selling penis enlarger, feminine hygiene products, or adult diaper.    Better than not being able to afford a part.

Little Honda

１９６６ Little Honda P25 ad from Japan.
It has got nothing to do with the song by Beach boys. As you see, this 2 wheeler was marketed toward mostly women. The motor was mounted inside of its rear wheel. You start the motor by pushing a lever on left handle bar and pedaling. 4 stroke, 49cc single cylinder OHC. Leading bottom link shocks on front, Rigid on rear. Top speed was about 18mph. If you got legs, you can pedal home even if you are out of gas. It was replaced with PC50 in 1969, and motor was installed toward front. The turn signals, and rear shocks were added. Also better top speed though it was still 49cc single. I would buy one if I find it. Even if it is a non runner. You can still use it as a bicycle.

It is a nicely put together video. But once you realize the BGM is one of Matrix soundtracks, it gets bit annoying the parts slo-mo matching with the music in my opinion...I still prefer listening to real exhaust notes.

Protar was an Italian motorsport model kit company. It offered subjects that you will not find by other major companies as you see. They also made kits in larger unusual scale. Their high quality models offered working suspension and individual chain links. It seems really hard to find their kits.  The fact that some of their kits are reboxed by Revell  ,means it is long gone. There is a dedicated English site of Protar kits site if you are interested.

Lego Custom Bikes

Lego has been a great company to kids( and some adults) of all of ages. They are even nice enough to give a kid a gift who missed out buying a certain product Some artists prefer to use Lego as their main medium, like this guy, Karwik Or my personal favorite Lego builder BricksonWheels.

  I don't know who built those custom bikes below (one of them I believe by Karwik) but I spotted the other day figured share with you guys.
