Crazy Car Project-Toyota 2000GT
Toyota 2000GT was made to showcase the Japanese company's ability; they can make high-performance super car like ones from Europe. Reviewing a pre-production 2000GT in 1967, Road & Track magazine summed up the car as "one of the most exciting and enjoyable cars we've driven", and compared it favorably to the Porsche 911. Until then, the Japanese company focused on utility vehicles. Not for "fun to drive" So Toyota 200oGT was limited edition;made only 337 units.
Those crazy Japanese car nuts from Toyota, decided to make one into a solar powered car. So far it has been quite controversial since the car is so rare. Some are pretty mad at them for gutting the car out.

True
Bertrand Russell was a British philosopher, logician, mathematician, historian, and social critic. At various points in his life he considered himself a liberal, a socialist, and a pacifist, but he also admitted that he had never been any of these things in any profound sense.
For Ryan- USS Enterprise Coffee Table
This USS Enterprise Coffee Table by etsy seller BarryShields.
"This Star Trek table is made from ash, poplar and cherry wood. It took me a month to build it and 2 tries to cut the 1/4" glass the way I wanted but it turned out nicely. The glass is cut to look as though its in motion and the base was designed to portray the ship in orbit over a planet. It has a beautiful rubbed poly finish coat for complete protection for many years to come. Its solid, sturdy and you CAN put your feet up on it after a long day at the office. This is a one of a kind! You will not see another one like it. Glass dimensions are 34" x 54" x 17" tall "
I wonder if he would pay for loyalty to Paramount after he sells it. 3100 US bucks plus shipping, it is yours, Ryan.

Happy 48th
Today is Bridget Fonda's birthday. She is 48. I always adored her and she is still gorgeous.
Did you know she was in "Easy Rider"? She played a little girl in commune. She recalls her father complaining about the famous bike being hard on his body during the shoot.

Paul has Wingman, a rival camera of GoPro. Maybe he could do the same.
S*it Bikers Say
I don't say those things. I guess I am not a poser. I liked S*it Yogis Say better maybe because I don't know any of them.
Faster-the movie (MotoGP)

Happy 95th
Today is Ernest Borgnine's Birthday. He is 95. "His career has spanned over five decades. He was an unconventional lead in many films of the 1950s, He played against type in 1955 by securing the lead role of Marty Piletti, a shy and sensitive butcher, in Marty (1955). He won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance, despite strong competition from Spencer Tracy, Frank Sinatra, James Dean and James Cagney. On television, he is best known for playing Quinton McHale in the 1962-66 series McHale's Navy and voicing the character Mermaid Man in the series, SpongeBob SquarePants. He was also on the mid-1980s action series Airwolf. He earned an Emmy nomination at age 92 for his work on the series ER. In August 2009 at age 92 he earned the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rhode Island International Film Festival."
One time he was asked what was his secret to keep himself so active. He answered "jerking off everyday". During the interview on TCM program, he was asked why he had decided to star in the TV show, McHale's Navy . He answered that the very next day he had won an Oscar, a news paper delivery boy showed up at his house and did not recognize him at all while the boy knew many TV actors. That was when he realized that he needed to be in TV show to gain popularity from all ages.
He was made an honorary U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer by Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Terry Scott on October 15, 2004. He served in the U.S. Navy for ten years from 1935-1945 and left the service as a Gunner's Mate 1st Class.
While on location in Mexico filming Vera Cruz (1954), he and fellow cast member Charles Bronson found themselves with some extra time on their hands and decided to go to the nearest town to get some cigarettes. Still in full costume -- including bandoliers and pistols -- they mounted their horses and headed out. Along the way they were spotted by a truckload of Mexican "federales" -- federal police -- who mistook them for bandits and held them at gunpoint until their identities could be verified.
Happy Birthday Ernie!!

BMW's semi-autonomous driving system
BMW announced their ConnectedDrive Connect (CDC) semi-autonomous driving system back in August, but the company has just released a new video of it in action.
While the clip is in German, it shows some fairly relaxed engineers taking their hands off the steering wheel and letting the car drive itself. As we have previously reported, CDC works on pre-mapped highways by pinpointing the car's position and the location of surrounding objects. Once everything has been determined, CDC controls the braking and acceleration like an advanced cruise control system.
However, when the car senses it is behind a slowpoke, it looks for an open lane where it can safely merge at speeds up to 130 km/h (81 mph). If an opening is found, the system will steer the vehicle into that lane, pass the slower vehicle and return to its original lane.
As Dr. Nico Kaempchen explains, "Our main challenge was to develop algorithms that can handle entirely new situations. In principal, the system works on all freeways that we have mapped out beforehand with [a] centimeter accuracy." He goes on to say CDC ensures the car "adheres to all traffic laws" and sticks to the speed limit.

Sunday Rides Stop at Twin Peaks
Me and Ryan and Tag the dog went for ride. Tag's human was not used to riding fast and long distance so we rode inside town mostly, but I think Tag's human is getting used to riding much more. Probably thanks to the wind shield.
After the visit to Watson park, we rode to Twin Peaks, which is considered as a rival restaurant of Hooter's. Some source says the Twin Peaks here took about 8 wait stuff from our local Hooter's. We went there mainly because there is a patio so that Tag could be allowed to hang with us. I did not think Tag can be inside unless the human is a blind. I personally like Hooter's better because I can get raw oysters there. I am a big fan of raw oysters.
It was a nice warm day for January-about mid50F-so there were many Bike riders. Mostly high dollar Harleys with all the Harley Davidson outfits and accessories. Many of them had deafening exhaust like they have to emphasize their existence by the noise. We parked our vintage Japanese bikes like bosses in front of patio.
Waitresses just loved Tag like a rock star. So are some dudes. They all wanted to take pictures of him with his trusted goggles.
We ordered a few beer and chicken wings and such. Patio was basically closed but Brianna the waitress(pictured below) took great care of us. She and her pal were happy to be pictured with Tag the dog.
We consumed some ice cold beer which got us nice and cold with the Sun going down. Brianna still came out to the chilly patio.("Woo getting kinda cold!!" she said) and took care of us with the skimpy outfit so I tipped her 50%.
I used to work at bars ; I hated cheap bastard who didn't tip good. So I try to tip better even if I don't have much money. If you can't tip okay, you should not be eating out, anyway.
After that, we rode back to Ryan's and hang some more. On the way to Ryan's, Tag's human rode real good this time and much to our surprise, even passed us one point. We were mighty proud of the human. Maybe we go for a longer ride next time. And stop at Twin Peaks again.

Kinect mobile
Chaotic Moon Labs' "Board of Awesomeness" is intended as a technology teaser to show how perceptive computing can turn around the way we look at user experiences. The project utilizes a Microsoft Kinect device, Samsung Windows 8 tablet, a motorized longboard, and some standard and custom hardware to create a longboard that watches the user to determine what to do rather than have the operator use a wired or wireless controller. The project uses video recognition, speech recognition, localization data, accelerometer data, and other factors to determine what the user wants to do and allows the board to follow the operators commands without additional aid.
This would be nice on a wheel chair.

Lincoln Zephyr Flathead V12 Motorcycle
The Lincoln Zephyr was one of those American cars that helped create the legend of the automotive industry, Its 12-cylinder engine 75 angle V was an extension of Ford V8 and used the same technology "flathead" with side valves. With the V12 motor, Dale Olson decided to build a limited number of bikes. So far, Dale has built about 50 of these bikes with V8 motors, but there are only two units with the V-12 motors and will be auctioned off in Las Vegas.

Another bike that would not turn.
