Happy 92nd, and Cabton motorcycle

Rare pictures of Toshiro Mifune riding a motorcycle from 1950 Akira Kurosawa's movie, "Scandal"

The bike is Cabton. It was a brand used by Mizuho automotive MFG, which was in business from 1923 until 1956. Cabton  stands for "Come And Buy To Osaka Nakagawa"  At the time, Cabton was a leading manufacturers of large motorcycles along with Meguro. Honda was a newbie at the time.  Cabton produced British style 4 stroke motorcycles. The displacement  was  from350 cc to 600cc OHV. They seemed to produced parallel twins or single cylinder. Although the manufacturer no longer exists, the name of the Cabton is used to describe a type of  motorcycle muffler in Japan. Basically a horizontal straight exhaust with thicker part in the middle, and back the same thickness at the end . The new Kawasaki W800 has those exhausts. The bike used in the movie seemed like 500cc or bigger.
