Happy 50th Suzuka
One of the most well-known circuit in Japan, Suzuka turned 50 this year. There was a huge event for the anniversary which was organized by Honda, who owns the circuit. The event had many famous race car drivers as guest but for two wheel fans, the appearance of world champions, Kevin Schwantz and Wayne Gardner was real treat. Schwantz even tried out the 2011 MotoGP champion bike, Honda RC212V. For more info visit Schwantz’ Facebook page. Suzuka was one of the Moto GP circuits until the Daijiro Kato's death in 2003, which raised safety concern about the facility and replaced with Twin Motegi circuit, which also owned by Honda. So far, 17 racers has lost their lives there.
