Cassoday Bike Run

6 dollars break fast at the cafe.
poop load of biker goods were sold by carnies
Cassoday is a very small town in Kansas. There is a biker run on every first Sunday of the month. I have been there when it was still very small and have sweet memory about the ride, but it has become so big that it is just a crowded motorcycle market place with bunch of bikes... It started in 1991, a biker named Jack Robinson went to the owner of the Cassoday Cafe, Norma Arsenault and stated that the Saturday ride for breakfast would be better for his group if it were on Sunday's. Norma replied that if she gave up her Sunday's it needed to be for good reason. She would do it if he would bring enough bikers to be worth her time and money. The first Motorcycle Sunday (as the locals call it) began with 12. Now, possibly 6 or 7000 bikers come on a good day. I went there yesterday with a friend Paul. He had not been there before. We ate at the Cassoday cafe then, walked around. I tried to take pictures of interesting bikes but there were many many many boring, straight out of factory-possibly-some-aftermarket parts-on Harleys. I guess 2.8 billion bail out money is working out for them...There were shit loads of them. Seems like everyone rides that thing. It was challenging to find non-V-twin bikes there if not crotch rockets. I only saw a handful of interesting bikes that I stopped and admire. There were a huge number of guys with black leather chaps, black leather vests with patches, a bandanna and blue jeans as if those were the uniform. They must shop together. I also tried to take pictures of good looking girls, but I saw mostly muffin topping, tattooed-up and beat-up, middle-aged women.   Well it is the ride, not the destination after all....

Probably the most interesting Harley out there that day.
The favorite bike out

tons of people and not many porta john. Better not have diarrhea
